I’m always on the lookout for charming little cafés, and this one was a true gem—eclectic with a vintage flair. We had the pleasure of meeting Raphaël, the owner, and Daniel, who made the experience even more memorable. My matcha latte was absolutely divine, and the dessert—a dreamy take on leche flan was pure yummy bliss.

Cafe Raphaël is the best cafe I have ever been to in Ottawa. The owner Raphael himself is such a kind and warm hearted individual. He takes care of each customer and actually likes to socialize/share information about the beverages and meals prepared there. He truly makes it a memorable experience! If you don’t have the patience to wait for a good coffee, then this isn’t the place for you! Thank you again ⭐

Cafe Raphael is truly a one of a kind cafe in Ottawa that should be visited with friends and family! Beautiful pastries, amazing coffee, and even more beautiful atmosphere and decor. This place is truly curated with great detail and attention, mainly inspired by European cafes with antique decor and cup ware. Raphael was very kind, and made me feel very welcomed, make sure to say hi, a must visit!

At Cafe Raphael, I truly felt as if I had stepped back into the 19th century. The atmosphere is enchanting, with every detail carefully crafted. What impressed me the most was the gentleman owner’s warm hospitality. He takes the time to personally attend to each guest. This place is more than just a café; it’s a memorable experience. I will definitely be coming back!

Extremely quirky decor inside for a “modern” coffee shop but well put together with a certain flair and consistency. Outside is a pleasant space too. The coffee was delicious!! Seeing as this is their main focus, this is a good thing. Didn’t try any of the food but the desserts/baked goods looked appealing. The sandwiches and other food I found to be a bit lacking visually for the posted price given the 2 amazing sandwich shops with a couple of blocks. Service was absolutely amazing!! Would love to go back.

Our new go to cafe! Cafe Raphaël is absolutely breathtaking!! The atmosphere is amazing and the cafe is even more beautiful in person! Raphael provides 10/10 customer service! The best part of our experience is that you can really tell how passionate he is! He gave us a demonstration while making our coffees and preparing our cannoli! He asked us to pick our own mug, he asked us a few questions about our coffee preferences and explained the whole process to us! Everything was delicious! I HIGHLY recommend visiting because you will be swept off your feet!

This cafe is exceptional. I was greeted by Rafael himself who explained his passion for creating a space that reminds you of your loved ones, and he has done exactly that! The decor is beautiful - full of tea cups and vintage furniture. He is so kind and has such a warm energy to him. There is space to do work/study, as well as couches to chat with friends/family. The London fog is delicious and scones are a must. This place is a must visit, you won’t be disappointed.
